God is always communicating with us. Yes, even when we aren't aware that He is.
St. Ignatius became thoroughly convinced that "All is gift". Thanks to him for pointing this out, I've also come to discover this more and more in my life. That I alone am truly nothing and can do and have nothing, but all that I am, that I have, that I do, are made possible by God's loving goodness.
It is, over the years, slowly (but surely) reversing my inaccurate mindset that love needs to be merited. It is gradually reshaping the Person I know God to be and with this, who I am to Him, which forms my new identity in Christ. In all these gifts I have received, the most important word God speaks to me is that He loves me. He loves me. Period.
