DAY 9 - NOVENA TO MARY
QUEEN OF ALL HEARTS
WITH A HEART WIDE OPEN TO CREATION AND TO GOD
FEAST OF BLESSED MARIE LOUISE TRICHET
Text by Montfort: LOVE OF ETERNAL WISDOM N°100
Finally, as “nothing is more active than Wisdom,” he does not leave those who enjoy his friendship to languish in mediocrity and negligence. He sets them on fire, inspiring them to undertake great things for the glory of God and the salvation of souls…it is Wisdom who enriched the virtuous man in his labours and enabled him to reap the fruit of his toil. He came to his aid against those who were trying to deceive him and made him prosperous. He protected him against his enemies, shielded him against seducers and engaged him in combat so that he might come through victorious and so convince him that Wisdom is more powerful than anything in the world.

Reflection
The Oratory (a prayer space) of the Heart of Blessed Marie Louise Trichet demonstrates the means of uniting with Jesus, Wisdom Eternal and Incarnate.
My loving Jesus, grant me the grace to practise what you have had the goodness to inspire in me, which is to work at building in myself an oratory where you may dwell.
An oratory is a sacred space where one encounters the Lord in prayer. Its foundation is humility and it rests on four pillars gradually adorned as kind acts are performed.
-
The first pillar of the oratory of the Heart is obedience: “to obey like a child…with joy and submission.”
-
The second pillar is detachment from all creatures. To break away from the world, and be free as God is the only treasure.
-
The third pillar of the oratory is the love of suffering, consenting to the path Jesus himself chose to follow. The disciple follows the Master. The sole and true comfort lies in the Lord.
-
The fourth pillar of the oratory of the Heart is Prudence. It calls for constant attention on one’s thoughts, acts, and words in all circumstances. This prudence is applied firmly with patience and gentleness.
